Rate-a-Trailer: Transformers Try to Escape Sucking
So much new stuff gets revealed in the latest trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Ancient ruins! Undersea creatures! Expensive college!
Plus, the scariest vacuum you have ever seen. (We're betting it's a Dyson.)
The film's shiny stars deliver robotic gravitas, shape-shifting action and a Pointer Sisters sample, and the humanoids serve their mechanical masters well: Shia LaBeouf is all plucky and determined while Megan Fox offers both tearful emotion and a pair of Daisy Duke short-shorts. (Nerd Bonus: LaBeouf, as in the last Indiana Jones flick, performs yet another cool action sequence in a college library. Score another one for literacy!)
Though lacking in the what-the-heck's-happening creepiness of the last trailer, this one has all the bells, whistles and John Turturro we need. Resistance is futile.
