He may forever be waitin' on a woman, but at least Brad Paisley is no longer waiting on his little man.

The country superstar and his actress wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley have, at long last, welcomed their second child together in Lullabye Music City.

"The healthy baby boy was born this morning at a Nashville area hospital," the couple said in a statement. "Mother and baby are resting comfortably."

There's no word yet on a name or vital statistics for the tyke, who, as it happens, knows how to make quite the dramatic entrance.

The stork delivery was actually scheduled to take place nearly two weeks ago on April 5, the same day the 36-year-old Paisley took home three trophies, including Male Vocalist of the Year, at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

The "Waitin' on a Woman" twanger opted to accept the nods via satellite in lieu of making the red carpet trek out to Las Vegas, as the ceremony happened to take place on his 37-year-old wife's due date.

"I didn't want to take the chance of missing the birth of our next child," he said in his acceptance speech.

The couple already has one son together, 2-year-old William Huckleberry "Huck" Paisley.
