Chuck Gets Slightly Faster and, um, Furiouser
Tue., Apr. 14, 2009 10:47 AM PDT by Joal Ryan
A little Fast & Furious, a little Borat, a little uptick for Chuck.
The NBC spy comedy scored its biggest audience in six weeks last night: 6.2 million viewers, per preliminary Nielsen estimates. Still, despite guest stars Jordana Brewster and Ken Davitian, the bubble show ran a distant fourth in its 8 p.m. time slot.
Elsewhere Monday:
• Fans of House (11.8 million) seemed to need a breather after last week's suicide watch—viewership was down by about 1.5 million.
• At 9 p.m., Heroes (6.8 million), like Chuck, was up—and a distant fourth.
• Dancing With the Stars (19.5 million) was the most-watched show; Two and a Half Men (14.8 million) was the highest-rated among adults 18-49.
• Big Bang Theory (10.1 million), How I Met Your Mother (9.6 million) and Rules of Engagement (11.6 million) were typically solid. 24 (10.8 million) was typically steady.
• At 10 p.m., Castle (7.6 million) got stormed in the demo by CSI: Miami (13.3 million) and Medium (7.6 million).
• Surviving Suburbia (10.7 million) was down 1.3 million viewers from its premiere.
