"My wife and my friends who were there all wanted to have burger and the only burger was Johnny Rockets next door [to the studio]," Gilles told me this morning. "We feasted on Johnny Rockets and milk shakes. I think I gained 18 pounds."

We try our best. I was very insecure last night before we start dancing because I saw the dress rehearsals. Everyone was brilliant and I was like, "I'm done today."
How does it feel to hear Carrie Anne Inaba say she couldn't tell who was the celebrity and who was the professional dancer during your Argentine tango?
You know, it doesn't make me do anything. When she says that it means Cheryl is an accomplished teacher. Every week I'm starting from zero. We have the paso doble next, and I don't know what a paso doble is yet. I never seen a paso doble my entire life. I didn't even know how to spell it.
Maybe so, but you told me the same thing last week about the Argentine tango and look how well that turned out.
Even Cheryl was like, "This is the first time I ever compete with the Argentine tango. It's going to be my first time doing it in front of an audience." She was very scared. On Saturday, she wanted to change the choreography because she was not happy with it. I was like, "Baby, I don't know. I need at least four or five days to remember everything."
I'm sure you've been getting a lot more fan mail and attention.
We have much more people contacting us and saying they are really having a fun time. This morning, I was on a radio show and a listener called in saying, "My wife was really horny last night, so thank you!" I thought it was hilarious and a compliment. I'm helping make babies. That's the nicest thing I've heard this morning.
How has it been on set since that crazy fan was arrested trying to get to Shawn Johnson?
No one talked about anything because we don't really have to. No matter what, there are going to be crazy people around. But let me tell you, Shawn is the strongest person I ever met. She was completely fine, like nothing ever happened. She's got an amazing family and you see that—especially now.
