Friday the 13th was indeed freaky for Lindsay Lohan.

A $50,000 warrant was issued for the 22-year-old starlet yesterday, stemming from her May 2007 DUI arrest during a memorably awful Memorial Day weekend that culiminated in a trip to rehab for the Freaky Friday star.

"In response to media inquiries, [the] Beverly Hills Police Department is confirming a warrant was in fact issued for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan," said department spokesman Lt. Mark Rosen.

"The $50,000 warrant issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court stems from a May 2007 arrest of Miss Lohan for DUI and hit-and-run. The circumstances leading to the issuance of the warrant by the court are not readily available at this time. It is our hope that Ms. Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter will be resolved in a timely manner."

Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, called the warrant a "misunderstanding" in a statement issued Saturday afternoon:

"Since her case was resolved, Ms. Lohan has been in compliance with all the terms and conditions of her probation and all orders of the court. The warrant issued on Friday was, in our view, born out of a misunderstanding which I am confident I can clear up next week."

Rosen told E! News that, despite the warrant, police are not actively looking for Lohan at this time and he doesn't expect her to turn herself in this weekend.

"I spoke to her attorney this morning. The attorney believes it was just a miscommunication with the court," said Rosen. "She hopes to resolve it in court this coming week. And I'm sure that if it's not resolved in court that we'll work out something with Ms. Lohan to voluntarily surrender."

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office has scheduled an 8:30 a.m. hearing on Monday at the Beverly Hills courthouse. Lohan is not expected to appear.

District attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons says prosecutors were not aware of the reason behind the probation hearing. She did, however, disclose that Lohan's attorney notified them on Friday that the judge had ordered the meeting and that an arrest warrant might be issued.

News of the warrant was first reported by hollyscoop.com.

In May 2007, Lindsay was busted for driving under the influence after losing control of her car and running up a curb. Police found cocaine in her car and lab tests showed the drug in her system. After a stint in a treatment center, she was arrested for drunken driving on July 24, 2007.

After pleading guilty in August 2007, Lohan was sentenced to one day in jail and placed on probation for three years.
