M.I.A. capped her preggo Grammy show by popping out a boy. We can't wait to see how she'll top that come Oscars time.

When last we saw the British-born Sri Lankan singer, she and her belly were gyrating onstage during Sunday's Grammy performance of "Swagga Like Us" with Jay-Z, Kanye West, T.I. and Lil Wayne. Because it was her due date, producers had a golf cart ready to whisk her away.

To hear her tell it, she almost needed it.

In an all-caps, grammar-eschewing announcement on her MySpace blog Saturday, M.I.A. recounted an eventful past few days.

"I CAME HOME FROM THE GRAMMY'S STILL IN THE MOOD TO PARTY...BUT I WENT HOME INSEAD, LUCKY I DID!! COZ MY EARLY STAGE LABOUR KICKED IN AROUND 2 AM

"MY BABY WAS BORN WEDNESDAY, HE IS HEALTHY, FINE, BEAUTIFUL AND THE MOST AMZING THING EVER ON THIS PLANET, OF COURSE IM HIS MUM!!!"

No word yet on the tyke's name or birth stats, but he's the first child for the 31-year-old singer and beau Benjamin Bronfman, the frontman for the indie rock band The Exit. Bronfman tells E! News the bambino debuted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and that "mom and baby are beautiful and doing well."

The big question now is whether M.I.A. will be M.I.A. for next week's Oscars, where she's scheduled to perform the Best Song nominee "O...Saya" from Slumdog Millionaire.

On Friday, ceremony producer Lawrence Mark told E! News M.I.A. (real name: Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam) "is eager to perform."

"We've said things like, 'We're willing to have her enter on a large bed.' We'll make it as easy for her as we can."

While an Oscars date seems unlikely, we wouldn't put it past her.

"ME AND BABY ARE PUTTING OUR TOUR DATES FOR 2010 TOGETHER…AND FIGURING OUT A WAY TO BREAK OUT OF THE HOSPITAL!" she writes on her blog.

"HOPEFULLY THE WORLD IS BEEN TICKING ALONG AND I AINT MISSED MUCH!," she adds, before signing off. "C U SOON…AND MY BABY BOY SAYZ HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
