Why do they not film a movie from beginning to end?

Well somebody needs to pay for all the "food" those actresses "eat."

Since the pay is so low, I assume actors do independent movies to win an Oscar or get themselves out there because they are not getting offered parts anymore. Is it a negative to do too many indies?

You're on the right track. Famke Janssen said a few weeks ago that she deliberately followed her Bond Girl gig with a bunch of indies so she wouldn't face the stigmas often associated with the chicks in the spy series. And is it negative to do too many indies? Let's put it this way: If you know who Chlo? Sevigny is, the answer is no.
