America's Next Top Model: Sundai Not Suicidal After Sendoff
Whew, that's a relief.
We have to admit we were worried when Sundai—the girl who said becoming America's Next Top Model is "more important than living"—was eliminated last night, just shy of making it to the top four.
But the teenage former foster kid reassured us this morning that her perspective is definitely sunnier, even though she believes she shouldn't have been sent home...

How's This for Nutty? Eddie Murphy Will Appear on the Top Model Finale
The professor is in!
A CW source tells us exclusively that fans of America's Next Top Model will see a certain famous someone they probably aren't expecting on the Cycle 13 finale, which airs Nov. 18: Eddie Murphy.
So is the Beverly Hills cop turned nutty professor the latest guest star trying to fill Janice's or Paulina's shoes as a fourth judge?
America's Next Top Model: Ousted Model Defends Tyra's Controversial "Blackface" Photo Shoot
Mahalo no she didn't!
Instead of heading abroad, the petite contestants of America's Next Top Model boarded Fierce Airlines for Hawaii this week. But without kimonos or Carmen Miranda fruit hats to make their experience culturally relevant, Tyra Banks had to get creative and...biracialize the models?!
Mathematician Brittany, who was sent packing in this week's episode, explained why Tyra thought it was a good idea to change the models' skin color and play Yahtzee with cultures and ethnicities in the name of fashion.
Break it down, Brittany...
Tyra Banks' Top Model Stunt: Racy or Racist?
Sure it might be Halloween with its usual goofy costumes, but we're finding one getup just plain horrifying.
On last night's America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks asked contestants to smear on some heavy-duty makeup and pose as biracial women.
Sure, they tried to make it sound exotic by having the leggy ladies look like Tibetan-Egyptian or Botswana-Polynesian women, but at the end of the day, they were still coated in creams to darken their skin tone.
This isn't the reality series' first time under fire for racy choices—ANTM had contestants take pictures as different ethnicities back in season four.
And it comes in the wake of Mad Men's Roger Sterling donning blackface at a party, Harry Connick Jr. criticizing an Australian TV show over a sketch by white actors in face paint mocking the Jackson 5 and Madonna admitting she once posed as "Black Madonna" but opted not to use the photos in fear that only a minority of fans would understand them.
You think?

If that doesn't get your goat, Joel McHale: Male Model certainly will.
America's Next Top Model Fierce Juice: Drink It Up!
Whew—Bloody Eyeball lives!
Based on the reality-show ratio of camera time to elimination, Nicole's departure seemed certain in last night's America's Next Top Model. The Gollum look-alike let her crazy flag fly (even more than usual), terrifying even choreographer Benny Ninja.
In the end, though, Nicole's "stoner" voice, disappointing photo shoot and horror-show dance routine didn't even land her in the bottom two. Going home instead was, ironically, a professional dance instructor—and the girl Tyra Banks discovered in her studio audience, whom we just chatted up today for scoop...
America's Next Top Model: "I'm the Ringleader!"
Another petite America's Next Top Model contestant was sent home in yesterday's yawner. Is it just us, or is this cycle seriously short on the dramz? What's in store for us now that one of the most outspoken little spitfires had to pack her petite bags—and the shy girl is doing most of the gossip? Read on to hear what the eliminated model had to say about her fickle foe...and to defend her ferocity.
Tyra Is America's Worst Actress
Tyra Banks is a giver. We all know that.
Where would America get its next top model, without her tireless recruiting program?
But who knew she had the ability to morph into Super Smize? In case you didn't know, her secret power involves smiling with her eyes.
Which can trigger something in mere, nonmodel mortals. The desire to spuke.

America's Next Top Model: Le Cycle 13 Premieres Tonight!
Cycle 13—the petite version—of America's Next Top Model returns tonight. If the two-hour premiere is any indication, this might be the best season yet. Click in for some sneak peeks of tonight's premiere and a few of its most bizarre contestants...
New Season of Top Model Short on Stature, Tall on Fierceness
Just so there's no confusion, 5 feet 7 inches isn't short for a woman. Nor is it short for a season of America's Next Top Model.
If the big turnout—and by "big," we mean frighteningly big drama—for if the auditions were any indication, Tyra Banks' troop of lovelies-in-training should be no less tall on talent than previous seasons.
For lucky cycle 13, premiering Wednesday, Sept. 9 on the CW, contestants could not exceed the 5-foot-7-inch height maximum. The shrimpiest is four inches shorter than that (gasp!).
Banks leads the panel of experts, including [noted] photographer Nigel Barker, runway expert J. Alexander and a revolving seat of guest judges, including Lauren Conrad and Kim Kardashian.
Without further ado, here's your list of beauties vying for a $100,000 modeling contract with CoverGirl, management by Wilhelmina Models and six pages in Seventeen magazine:
Kim Kardashian and Lauren Conrad Join America's Next Top Model
America's Next Top Model is getting a little fiercer this year with reality fashionistas Kim Kardashian and Lauren Conrad set to appear in cycle 13 as celebrity judges.
Are they joining full-time to replace departed supermodel judge Paulina Porizkova? Here's what we're hearing...
Why Do Reality Shows Dwell on Total Nonevents?
Why are reality shows so scripted around nonevents? Do we really need to see Jon and Kate's kids' birthday party? Is that interesting?
—Crie, Hoboken, NJ
To the millions of mommy-fetishists who watch that show, of course it is. Jon and Kate Gosselin viewers identify with the eight kids, sympathize with them. Plenty of fans even think they're somehow friends of the Gosselin clan—swooping onto the Intertubes on pixelated steeds, poised to defend every Gosselin, big or small, just in case, you know, Kate might be watching and want to invite them over.
What's far more interesting is exactly how those birthday scenes—every reality show shot, really—gets selected for filming by crafty producers.
Whether it's a crazy naked pool scene on Top Model or a little person visiting a trainer, each shot is far more calculated than even die-hard viewers may think...
Tyra Banks: Paulina Was an Economic Casualty
When Paulina Porizkova described herself as the fat that was clogging America's Next Top Model, we assumed she didn't mean it literally.
Sure enough, executive producers Tyra Banks and Ken Mok released a statement Monday clarifying why the former cover girl will not be returning for ANTM's 13th cycle: pure, unadulterated economics.
"The current state of the economy has forced shows to make major budget cuts industry wide," the duo said. "America's Next Top Model is not immune to these financially challenging times. We've had to make significant cuts in every area of the production and, unfortunately, Paulina was a casualty of these cuts."
Meanwhile, Porizkova was the one who revealed that she had been given the nondesigner boot, during an appearance on CBS' Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson the night before last week's finale.
