The former Oscar nominee has certainly been walking the line with his latest antics. First came the infamous "Bye! Good" red carpet moment and the claims he was giving up his acting career.

Lately, he's been focusing on his "rap" career as brother-in-law Casey Affleck creates a documentary about his evolution from movies to music.

Reading our coverage of the Joaquin wackiness probably had most of you saying, "What the [bleep]?!" while many of you (and us, too) hoped we were being punk'd.

Now, two sources are telling Entertainment Weekly that's exactly what's happening.

Sam Lutfi's finally speaking out after explosive allegations made by  Lynne Spears surfaced yesterday.

Britney's maybe manager gave an exclusive interview to E! News' Jason Kennedy to share his side of the story.

"I'm not worried about what Lynne is saying. It's not true. They're family, and their concerns are understandable, but these allegations are not true," he says of the claims that he took away Britney's phone chargers, verbally abused her and cut the phone lines to her house.

It's been reported that Lutfi, who has not been seen in public in recent days, is in hiding. When asked about his location today, Lutfi would not reveal his whereabouts to Kennedy. So, at least one part of the guessing game continues...

Sam Lutfi might be Britney's In-N-Out provider, but her parents, Lynne and Jamie, wanna be the ones making the important decisions, which presumably extend beyond, "Do you want fries with that?" 

So, the two are headed to court this morning to establish conservatorship, a drastic step that would allow them to make medical and financial decisions on Britney's behalf.

Lynne's also fighting against the rumor mill, speaking exclusively to E!'s Ryan Seacrest on Friday to set the record straight on several points.

For instance, she says she wants to make it clear that Britney's wealth has nothing to do with this—despite Sam's allegation that she and Papa Spears are more concerned with "money and their own image than Britney's condition."

Lynne also tells Ryan her main focus is her daughter's well-being and that she just wants Britney to get better. She said she is doing everything she can and sees her role as mom to a child who clearly needs help.

One of Lynne's greatest concerns now, she tells Ryan, is that all the drama is going to divert attention from the real issue...Britney's health.

Seems like that issue got sidetracked a long time ago.

Britney kept up her hectic schedule last night, going from the Gaucho Grill (the same Studio City branch they hit on the day of Brit's court no-show...the restaurant couldn't pay for this publicity) to Ralphs grocery store and then to Kitson boutique on Robertson around 1:30 a.m.

Along the way, several members of the paparazzi got busted for chasing her. To Brit's dismay. "She didn't want those paps to get arrested, though," Sam Lutfi tells Ryan Seacrest. "She tried to stop that from happening, but they wouldn't allow it."

Follow the wild night on video. And let us know if you agree with our diagnosis: The girl is seriously sleep deprived.

A couple of Ambien and a comfy bed, and we're betting the pop tart's troubles could turn around just like that.

Gwyneth Paltrow may be a little too dedicated to her diet.

New York magazine is reporting that the actress received a food delivery from Organic Avenue on Monday night—even as she was hospitalized for a "personal" matter, according to her rep.

"She's doing our five-day live-food fast," an employee told the magazine, adding that the menu included salads and juices. "There's actually quite a bit of food there, it's just all raw and organic."

Gwyneth can't actually be that sick if she's still sticking to her diet, reasons the mag. Twisted logic, but a brilliant theory.

So, Gwyneth's doing better...we think?

After Celine wrapped her five-year Sin City engagement, we sort of figured the French-Canadian songbird would take some time off to relax.

Turns out, this isn't the case. She'll be starring in a special CBS concert next month, called Celine Dion: That's Just the Woman in Me. (Incredibly, we're able to contain our excitement. How about you?)

But the singer's not the only one going full steam ahead. A dedicated fan (of her "singularly bizarre" persona, if not her music) put together this clip package under the heading Celine Dion Is Amazing.

We're thinking she may want to retire after seeing her wacky ways condensed into four minutes of embarrassing footage. But that's just us.

Brit's ex (Justin, not K-Fed) has been keeping a fairly low profile these days.

It's been weeks since any cute shots of him and Jessica Biel have surfaced, and he even managed to lunch at Nine Thirty restaurant at the W Los Angeles last week without causing any commotion.

But he didn't have as much luck on Friday night at West Hollywood's Villa nightclub, where the paps swarmed. One even started screaming, "Save Britney!"

(Which might explain why Justin's been staying away!)

Realistically, is there anything he can do? If Brit won't listen to her parents, can her childhood sweetheart really make an impression?

Amazing. It's almost like they consulted each other on the official uniform of the screwed-up stars club. 

And while we hate to send Amy over the edge, her trashy mesh 'n' pink bra ensemble does seem slightly tackier than Brit's. If that's possible?

While you were battling the crowds trying to get home for the holidays, Britney was battling everyone—from the paparazzi to someone on the other end of her cell. Not exactly a shocker.

But it's how she made peace with the paps that left our jaws hanging: She reportedly spent the night at the Peninsula with one of the snap-happy shutterbugs—who emerged at 4 a.m. looking for a cigarette.

We can't say for sure what happened between the two (multiple Hollywood.TV video clips conveniently try to piece it all together), though we've all heard the expression, If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, and we would just like to point out it does not mean sleeping with the enemy...

You'd probably be laughing too if you got $175,000 just for showing up somewhere.

That's the amount Sharon's reportedly asking for a 30-minute appearance at a noncharitable event. "Sharon is starting to attend store openings and corporate events. In return, she receives major cash," a source tells Page Six.

Or maybe she's just cracking up at the thought that she gets paid to attend events despite wearing this hideous neon bandana out in public (lunch at Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza, wouldn't ya know)? Either way seems kinda twisted.

So many questions. So few answers forthcoming. Why was Amy really outside at 5 a.m.? Why did she have nothing on but a red bra and jeans? Why did her publicist tell the Sun the singer was simply investigating a noise outside her house?
