Sometimes, when something becomes popular, people make odd choices in order to squeeze every last ounce of money they can out of said thing. Take, for instance, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. At the height of their popularity in 1990 someone made the supremely bizarre decision to have them record an album then send them out on a concert tour. In order to promote that tour, another person made the even more bizarre choice to have the turtles as guests on an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. What transpired was a surreal, childhood warping voyage into mentions of inter-species dating, extremely confused children, and terrible music in an hour of tv designed specifically to sell kids concert tickets, a crappy CD, and Pizza Hut. Here are the best parts.
