Halloween is upon us and you know what that means. Locking yourself in the basement and reading bible verses loud enough to cover the memory of that thing Uncle Dan whispered in your ear twenty years ago...So that's just me then? Oh. Ok.
Halloween time also means catching up on horror movies you haven't seen in a while which inevitably leads to a, "Holy sh*t! I didn't know he/she was in this," moment. Case in point, Crispin Glover and his classic turn as Jimmy Mortimer in 1984's Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (Spoiler alert: it wasn't the final chapter. Not even close.) Yes, before he was George McFly he was just a really weird teen actor in the forth installment of the Friday the 13th series.
Crispin's break out scene comes during a party when he busts out a set of dance moves so erratic and bizarre you have no choice but to declare it high art...or crap. It's hard to say which. I mean, he was either trying really hard or totally phoning it in here. So please, grab a handful of fun sized candy bars, pull up a seat, and gaze in Halloween wonder at the funktacular moves of Crispin Glover.
I'm imagining that right before the director yelled, "Action," he said, "Ok, Crispin. I want you to dance like you've never interacted with human beings before but like, you know, you're pretending you have."
