It's Comic-Con weekend! Movies! TV! Cartoons! We here at The Soup can't wait for all the surprises! And by surprises we mean commercials that major studios will debut to try and convince you that it's a good idea to spend hundreds of dollars on gas, hotel, and tickets just to see...or just read about it on the Internet as it happens. Here's our list of what we think we'll see down in San Diego:
–Game of Thrones panel announces new season will feature one episode where everyone just hangs out and nothing bad happens.
–Marvel booth will be entirely dedicated to a walkthrough museum of the 10,000 wigs used in Thor: The Dark World.
–Gritty reboot of Air Bud announced! A police dog injured in 9/11 rehabilitates and tries out for the New York Jets.
–Walking Dead panel unveils major plot point for new season. A cure for the undead is discovered and the series will be renamed: Miserable Adults Who Shot Their Friends
–A line for a panel will be so long, a separate line will form just to look at it
–JJ Abrams will premiere a clip from new Stars Wars movie that features an hour-long fight scene with 100 Boba Fetts
And here are some panels that we're really looking forward to:
–Comic-Con: 43 Years of Lines!
–What IS That? – The Odors of the Convention Floor!
–JJ Abrams: Bringing Lens Flare to the Star Wars Universe
–Coping with Parking Fees
Side note: There will be comics at comic-con this year! Two tables, located in separate halls, will be selling single issues of Archie and previously discarded Bazooka Joe strips. Cash only.
