To quote Liberace's last words in Behind The Candelabra, "Too much of a good thing is wonderful." In the world of the film, this refers to bi-daily bubble baths, Matt Damon emerging from pools in skin-tight boxer-briefs...and most notably, the creepy reconstruction of Rob Lowe's face.
In order to physically embody plastic surgeon Dr. Startz, Rob's look required more handiwork than a pair of beaded hot pants. Once transformed, he went completely unrecognized as actor Rob Lowe. But as a pair of frozen-open eyes with hair coifed into The Rachel, he actually looked pretty familiar.
