Some stars from the Real Housewives franchise are so iconic that even people who don't live and breathe by the drama going down in their favorite city will probably know these names. That's how dynamic these women are. However, not all Housewives are created equal, and not every one can have the lasting power of a Vicki Gunvalson, the "o.g. of the O.C.," who has been with the franchise since its inception in 2006.
Over the last decade, the franchise has experienced more than its fair share of casting shake-ups, with ladies arriving and departing in each of the cities. And sometimes the newbies just don't make a great first impression, landing them in what we like to call the One-and-Done club. 18 women share the unique experience of only lasting one season as a full-time Housewife, and we've broken them down by franchise for a quick stroll down memory lane...
The Real Housewives of Orange County
Kimberly Bryant: Most of her storyline focused on her battle against skin cancer, and she and her family picked up and moved to the Midwest soon after season one ended.
Quinn Fry: The divorcee with a penchant for younger men only appeared in the third season, before revealing on her MySpace (!) that she had not been asked to return. "Bravo is making a few cast changes," she wrote. "I must have not been the right fit on the show or too old or whatever."
Lizzie Rovsek: She joined in season nine…and was quickly demoted to "Friend of the Housewives" in season 10.
Peggy Tanous: The holistic and healthy housewife only lasted one season (season six) after seriously clashing with cast member Alexis Bellino.
Lydia McLaughlin: The devout Christian/fashion designer/mother of three chose not to return for another season after making her debut in season eight because, as she wrote in her book, "God was calling me to walk away from the show." (Or maybe Bravo God Andy Cohen just never called her?)
The Real Housewives of New York City
Cindy Barshop: The brash brunette businesswoman was brought in to fill the brash brunette businesswoman-shaped hole left when Bethenny Frankel exited the series for her own spinoff…and failed spectacularly.
Jules Wainstein: Following a season spent sparring with Bethenny, multiple sources confirm to E! News that the Modern Alkeme founder has not been asked back full-time for season nine.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey
Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano: Season six's newbies were twins…and that's about all we can remember. Sometimes sisters really don't provide the best drama, despite what the Manzos and Richards had led Bravo to believe.
Amber Marchese: A fellow season sixer, decided not to return for another round of dram in the Garden state.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Kathryn Edwards: Technically, she didn't even last a full season, as she made her official debut midway through the sixth season. At least she'll always have her memorable spat with the "morally corrupt" Faye Resnick to watch over and over.
Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia: The former Miss Puerto Rico and the Wiccan (seriously) were fired by Bravo after spending just one season (Season four) stirring up drama in America's most famous zip code.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta
Claudia Jordan: After clashing with NeNe Leakes throughout her entire debut season (seven), Claudia did not return as full-time cast member.
DeShawn Snow: One of ATL's original Housewives, DeShawn, who was married former NBA player Eric Snow at the time, seemed a bit too calm and collected for the show.
The Real Housewives of Miami
Larsa Pippen: NBA star Scottie Pippen's wife only appeared in the first season, and almost seemed too normal for reality TV.
Cristy Rice: Cristy also only appeared in the first season, with Bravo choosing not to bring her back for season two, despite her penchant for stirring up some major drama on-screen.
Ana Quincoces: The chef, who is competing on Food Network Star, made her debut as a full-time cast member in season two, before becoming a "Friend" in season three. Still, a lot went down in that one season: she memorably split from her husband of 23 years.
Karent Sierra: After major feuds with Adriana De Moura and Alexia Echevarria during her season two stint, Karent tapped out.
