On the latest episode of #RichKids of Beverly Hills, Morgan Stewart bluntly told her BFF Dorothy Wang that she needed to be treated better in her relationship. Even though there is a huge stigma, most girls really aren't that high maintenance. There are only a few things that we need in life and here they are!
9. Emotional Fulfillment:
Morgan nailed it on the nose with this one. In a romantic relationship, women must consistently have emotional fulfillment. We don't need to be constantly doted on, but you need be sweet and make thoughtful gestures.
8. Fatty Fridays:
Junk food binging days are a must! A lot of the time women are constantly worried about what they are eating and it's not a fun way to live everyday. We deserve (at least) one day a week to eat burgers, fries, cupcakes, burritos and orange chicken.
Every woman needs to have a sense of independence and truly know how amazing they are. Even if we are in a serious relationship or married, we need to know that we would be okay on our own. Because no matter how much we love someone, or depend on someone emotionally or financially, at the end of the day, we need to depend on ourselves.
6. A Guilty Pleasure Movie:
There just has to be that one movie we keep saved on our DVR for when we need a good cry. Yes, we are emotional and sometimes all we want to do is to pretend Ryan Gosling loves us.
5. A "Treat Yo Self" Day:
Nails, hair, dresses, makeup, massages, tanning. You name it.
4. Mutual Respect:
This goes for any relationship from romantic, platonic and everything in between. We need to feel that we are equally valued in this situation. Relationships go two ways and if we are the only friend making attempts to hang out or if our boyfriend isn't giving us the same amount of attention that we give him, we need to go. We deserve to feel loved and respected.
3. A Girl Power Song:
Kelly Clarkson is the queen of all the classic girl anthems. Nothing is easier to dance around with your BFFS to than "Since U Been Gone!"
Heels are a major necessity. We need our classic go to heel which is universally cute with any outfit. But we also need our "fun, night out" heels that are glittery, painful and way too high.
We need to know that we are capable of anything. If Elle Woods can graduate from Harvard Law, we can be president. No dream is too big and even if we fail, at least we were brave enough to try.
That's not too bad, right?
