Kourtney Kardashian is trying to keep up with her kids, her ex and her future with both together.
More than a year after E! News reported the reality star's breakup with her decade-long partner, Scott Disick, the mom of three is leaving her unpredictable romantic future to fate.
"The idea of having my family together is amazing, but it's not the way things ended up," she said in Cosmopolitan's October issue, on newsstands Sept. 6. "They may end up there. I'm not sure. To me, it's in God's hands. If it's meant to be, then things will line up."
Since last July, the split took a visible toll on both parties as Scott later entered rehab in October, but appeared to have returned to his partying ways just months later. Since the winter, however, Disick, Kardashian and their three children have often been spotted on outings and vacations together, alluding to a rekindled, but different family dynamic.
Meanwhile, Kourtney has fielded endless questions about the possibility of becoming Mrs. Disick since then, publicly maintaining that they do not plan to rekindle their complicated romance anytime soon. As she told the magazine, "I'm the coolest ex-girlfriend/baby mama you could ever ask for!"
"We definitely tried for a long time. But relationships are exhausting!" she explained. "Being able to focus on the kids and me right now is good."
Aside from concentrating on their kids, Kourtney is simply uncertain about how things will play out even if she or Scott starts dating someone else. "That's what I don't know," she told the magazine. "We're so not there yet."
However, when it comes to motherhood, Kourtney would add a few more members to her clan if she could. "I would have more. I could see myself with six kids. I just don't know what's in God's plan," she revealed.
As for the kids she already has—Mason, 6, Penelope, 4, and Reign, 1—they are not allowed to watch their mom's famous show.
"They've seen some of it, but no. I was in the shower, he [Mason] woke up, and it happened to be on. He was like, 'Who is Blac Chyna? And Kiki [Kim Kardashian] showed Larsa [Pippen] her vagina!'" she recalled to the magazine. " I was like, this is why they don't watch the show. Some of the content is just not appropriate."
