Kim Kardashian is turning 36 Friday, but unlike other years, she won't be throwing a big soiree to celebrate.

The mom of two is still trying to heal from her robbery in Paris, and as a result she's going to have a low-key birthday this year, a source tells E! News exclusively. "Kim's birthday is going to be a very quiet celebration this year," the insider tells us. "She has no plans on making a big bash. She will have an intimate birthday with her immediate family."

Although Kim is never one to turn down a party, the Paris robbery continues to leave her shaken. "She is not in any celebrating mood yet," the source adds. "Kanye [West] is trying to do whatever he can to make her feel better, but it's just the constant memories of the robbery that keep on messing with her."

As for how Kim plans on spending the rest of 2016, the source adds that she's going to be "pretty laid back."

"She just wants to be around her family at this time," the source tells us.

Another source previously told E! News that Kim was going to therapy to help try to move past the trauma of what happened in Paris. "Kim is doing better but she still has a long way to recover from the robbery," the source told us. "She has been receiving some professional counseling. Her friends and family have been really supportive. Her sisters and mom have been checking on her every day."

The source added, "Kim is very paranoid still when she is alone. She has been having flashbacks and hasn't been sleeping well. Her security is always around her now."

Even though Kim's birthday will be a private affair this year, we're wishing her the happiest of birthdays.
