Kim Kardashian has already achieved global domination. So why wouldn't she want to make her powers official and try her hand at governing a city?

Earlier this week, Kim made headlines when she seemingly casually referenced plans to pursue a mayoral run for the city of Glendale, telling her sister Khloé Kardashian Odom in a clip from Khloé and Lamar that she'd decided to throw her hat into the political arena and had every intention of being in office in five years' time.

Hey, stranger things have happened. Plus, she's already scored her first endorsement in the form of a Glendale city councilman. And as if that weren't enough of a boon, we suspect a certain good friend of the reality star's wouldn't be averse to giving a pointer or two on how to, well, run that town.

But was Kim really serious?

Well, time will tell if her political aspirations fizzle out, but she was certainly serious about one thing: becoming a standout citizen and pillar in her community (whichever that community may end up being).

"Kim has always looked for opportunities to grow and also do what she can to help and support the Armenian community," her rep told E! News. In explaining her political ambitions to her sister, she declared that she wanted to move to the Los Angeles suburb soon in order to gain residency in the city, where a large percentage of the current population shares the Kardashian family's Armenian roots.

"She's learning more about ways in which she can help to do her part to make a difference in the community," the rep said.

And if one of those paths should happen to lead to the mayor's mansion, so be it! And hey, if that didn't get out the vote, nothing would.
