Khloé & Lamar Recap: Lakers Trade Turns Their World "Upside Down"!

"Lamar is my number one priority so I gotta stay strong and fake it 'til we make it," Khloé says of Lamar's trade to the Dallas Mavericks

Lamar Odom and Khloé Kardashian Odom's world gets "turned upside down" tonight on Khloé and Lamar when he gets traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks. Fans of the lovebirds have been looking forward to this episode since news broke of Lamar's trade to see how the super-close couple would deal with the shocking turn of events. 

So how did Lamar and Khloé deal with their Dallas issue? 

Poor Lamar!

We've watched the NBA star anxiously await the end of the lockout, which finally happened. The happiness didn't last long as he receives a call from his agent telling him he might be traded. "That stuff is more stressful than not playing basketball," Lamar says of the trade talks. "It's part of our business, but hopefully I can stay in L.A." 

Lamar is visibly upset by the possilbility of being traded and tells Khloé they'd have to leave for a new city tomorrow if he was traded tonight. Khloé has so many questions, including moving, finding a new home, a car, etc.  Of course, Khloé is set to make a trip to New York for work and doesn't want to leave Lamar. "Our world can turn upside down," Khloé says of Lamar being traded…which happens while she's on the plane. Yes, Lamar gets traded to the New Orleans Hornets.

Khloé can't get in touch with Lamar, but turns on the radio to hear him giving an interview about the trade. "It's crazy. I thought I was going to be here the rest of my life," Lamar says of the being on the Lakers. "He is so passionate, emotional, wears his heart of his sleeve, hearing him in the radio and how heartbroken he sounds, it's now sinking in that Lamar's not going to be a Laker anymore. It's sad," Khloé says.

In a strange twist of events, the trade gets canceled, so Lamar is technically a Laker again…but not for long. "Of course, I don't want to be on a team that doesn't want me," Lamar tells Khloé over the phone. Khloé chats with Lamar's agent, who tells her that the trade is inevitable and she should be preparing to move. 

Finally, Khloé receives a call from Lamar, who tells her to guess which team he's been traded to, giving her a clue: "Think of stars and think of a million of 'em," he teases. Yes, the couple is heading for the Lonestar state, with Lamar saying, "Dallas in the morning!" Khloé takes the news of the trade well, telling Lamar she'll stay in L.A. to pack up their stuff while he heads to Dallas to start training with his new team.

While packing up their stuff, Malika breaks down, saying, "It's going to be different." Khloé tries to calm her down, saying she's scared about the idea of leaving L.A., too. "Lamar is my number one priority so I gotta stay strong and fake it 'til we make it," she says.
