On Sunday's House of DVF series premiere, Diane von Furstenberg and her team began the search for their first-ever Global Brand Ambassador.
The ten candidates for this esteemed position were immediately put to the test during the annual DVF Awards at the United Nations but the pressure was too much for one particular candidate...
It's a beautiful morning in New York City and fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg is headed to her office for the day!
In addition to being the iconic designer of the wrap dress who revolutionized the fashion industry, Diane reveals that her brand represents more than just fashion. It's also a lifestyle and about empowerment.
The search for the first-ever Global Brand Ambassador is a huge deal for the future of DVF. The position will travel the world and represent DVF while connecting with younger generations.
In her first meeting of the day, we meet Diane's right-hand ladies! There's Jessica Joffe, the DVF Style Editor.
And Stefani Greenfield, the Creative Brand Director!
Next we meet the candidates who will be competing for the Brand Ambassador position!
There's Coco, a pageant queen and international model.
Next up is Abigail...
Kier, a fashion blogger, who sold her eggs to come to Fashion Week!
This is Diane's reaction when she finds out:
Then there's Amanda the FIT student.
Jinna, who previously worked for Dolce & Gabbana, admits that she left behind everything—including her boyfriend of more than 5 years, for this opportunity.
Brittany the fashion stylist's claim to fame is the fact that she has worked with Ariana Grande.
Tiffani is the most out-of-the-box candidate who practices self-expression through her tattoos.
Codi the Mormon photographer has her own unique reason for wanting to become Brand Ambassador.
Rhianna estimates her wardrobe to be worth half a million dollars.
And Lenore, a Staten Island native, comes from a big Italian family.
After looking over all of the girls' profiles, Diane reveals that there is only room for 8 girls in the program—and there are currently 10 girls in the running.
This means that two ladies will be going home in the next 24 hours!
That night, all of the girls meet at a local bar. Amanda and Coco are the first to arrive!
When Amanda asks Coco what her secret is for saying in shape, her response is quite simple.
As the others arrive, they each take turns introducing themselves to each other.
Codi is very straightforward with the group.
Coco and Rhianna have no idea how to respond...
Then Kier shows up in this outfit!
Abigail doesn't even know what to say...
Tiffani shares her sentiments.
Finally, Stefani and Jessica show up to meet and assess the girls!
Stefani immediately calls Rhianna out for texting on her phone, while Lenore takes it very personally.
The girls go into panic mode once it's announced that there is only room for 8 girls in the program. Stefani and Jessica tell the group that they will be watching them very closely in the next day to decide who gets to stay...and who has to go home!
Stefani and Jessica quietly discuss the girls outside. Jessica doesn't think that Diane will like any of them, while Stefani has two words for the ladies who will be sent home.
"Bye-bye."
The next morning, the girls arrive at the DVF studio and find themselves in a retail lover's heaven!
Coco is the only one who isn't freaking out.
Then they all start trying on different accessories...
Abigail arranges everyone's scarves into turbans, but when Rhianna calls her boyfriend and puts him on speaker phone, the others find it incredibly annoying.
Suddenly Stefani and Jessica show up and they are not amused!
The girls find out that the DVF Awards are that night and they will all be attending and working the event! Alicia Keys is one of the guests who will be honored and the girls need to be on their best behavior. But can they do it?
While they're all stressing over what to wear, Diane points out that she's taking on a great risk by inviting them to the event.
That night, Stefani immediately starts noticing problems with the girls' outfits and gets to work restyling and fixing them!
Then the assignments for the night are handed out. Not all of the girls are happy with their tasks...

Rhianna, who is assigned to be an usher, doesn't do her task and instead follows Diane around, much to the annoyance of the other girls!
Meanwhile, Tiffani has been assigned the task of handling the DVF Instagram, but she finds herself in a tough spot when her phone is about to die.
She tries asking Kier if she can borrow hers, but Kier doesn't want to risk having something happen to her phone.
Then Rhianna goes to the bathroom because she starts to feel lightheaded and passes out in the bathroom!
The paramedics show up next, but luckily she is starting to feel better and claims that she was simply "dehydrated."
But just to be safe, they whisk her away on a stretcher.
The next morning, Diane meets with her team to discuss the previous night.
Then the topic of Rhianna's strange episode comes up.
Next, Diane meets with the girls so that she can get to know them more intimately. After addressing Rhianna's situation, the other girls start to chime in and say that they don't feel very close to her.
Kier mentions that Rhianna made a rude comment about her boobs not being real, which raises the next question:
Kier's response:
After several of the girls speak out about their issues with one another regarding their assigned tasks, Diane decides to meet one-on-one with each of them before she decides who to send home.
While chatting with Diane, Codi gets extra emotional. When Diane asks why she is crying so much, this is her response:
Abigail also gets emotional while talking about growing up in the projects and how her parents worked hard to make a better life for her.
Diane respects Abigail and likes her because she was honest.
When Rhianna comes in, Diane asks who she is closest to in life. Her response seals her fate.
Diane doesn't like her answer and is forced to deliver the bad news.
She sends Rhianna packing with a gift bag full of chocolate, a business card and a signed book. Classic.
Diane is able to overlook the fact that Tiffani wasn't able to successfully complete her assigned task.
But one more person has to go home...
Coco failed to do her duties at the buffet so Diane sends her home.
The model doesn't let this bad news affect her overconfidence one bit...
After Coco's departure, the other girls gather together in Diane's office.
Tiffani breaks down as a result of her gratitude towards Diane for giving her a chance.
But it's time to work extra hard and prove that they each have what it takes to stay a little longer...
