Florals are always in for spring, but this season take a lesson from the masters with a great piece that could double as abstract art when you're tired of wearing it.

Printed pants were all over the spring and fall 2012 runways, so invest in a pair to keep you stylish this season and all year long. I've always considered leopard a nuetral, so try these great jeans from Target for a fun addition to your summer wardrobe.

Peplums draw extra attention to the waist, give the illusion of hips (if you want some extra curve) and helps conceal a little tummy. For summer you'll find peplums on eveything from blazers to T-shirts, but I particularly like this dress from Topshop, which can easily go from day to night with a simple change in accessories.

Chokers and collars are making a huge comeback for spring—check out this "Fringe Benefits" collar from JustFab.com that combines the hardness of a collar with the fluidity of a chainlink necklace. This would be great underneath a blouse, or over an LBD or simple tank top and jeans.

The upper midriff is the part of your body to expose this summer, which is great because it's generally the smallest area on a woman's figure and there's no fear of the dreaded muffin top! Crops come in loose silhouettes or the bralette top, my favorite. A looser crop is great with a skinny, higher-waisted jean, pant, pencil skirt or short, while the bralette can be worn with all of those pieces in addition to fuller skirts and shorts.

It's seems to be all about the non-platform this coming year—what I like to call the "nothing" shoe. While this B Brian Atwood stiletto is über-simple, it's far from nothing with it's colorblock design that will go with many different looks, from flowing solid or printed dresses to skinny jeans.
$325
You've got to have a wedge for daytime, especially if you want to add a little height. Summer is always about prints, so take it to your feet with this fun "Leigh" pair from JustFab.com. A wedge is it the perfect choice for shorts, minis or even poolside. This multicolor sandal with African- and Aztec-inspired wedge will pretty much go with everything.
If color scares you, then start slow and take minimalism to the max with a neon clutch like this one by Zara—it's a great option for your neutral outfits or to mix with contrasting colors like yellow and green. Regardless, it's summer so have fun with color!
