At this point, we're used to Emma Watson taking fashion risks. The former Harry Potter star did wear an open back dress with pants to last year's Golden Globe Awards. But we might have to call this specific style swing a definitive miss.
Hard as it is to criticize a piece from the house of Dior, the British beauty looks like she's technically wearing three pieces forced together into one!
We can get behind the slightly tent-like shape of the main design feature—a black sheer skirt with polka dot holes. There's something really gorgeous about the sideways high-low hemline.
But things get awkward when that ruffled piece connects to the pleated top. It feels like the fabric should be more tightly connected, no? And then there's that white mini popping out from underneath. All-black might be best, or less of that white on the right and back of the dress?
Enchanting as this unique look may be, there's something slightly off on all fronts, turning it into a "make it stop" fashion in our books. Your take?
