Obviously it's impossible to look at these photos of Kate Upton at the Amsterdam premiere of The Other Woman and not think of Marilyn Monroe—she could be the screen siren's doppelgänger! But we have to say it…how dare the blond bombshell go to such extremes to copy Marilyn and substitute her signature red lip with nude?

If you regularly read Beauty Police, you know we are in silent (okay fine, not so silent) protest over the nude lip epidemic that is running rampant through Hollywood. Nothing states our point louder than Ms. Upton in these photos. Kate is wearing white! Come on, people! Color is not a four-letter word!

Nude lip travesty aside, the Sports Illustrated model did look amazing as a modern-day Marilyn.

Try the Look: Start by evening out skin tone and getting rid of any dry flakes by using a face polish like Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish. Then, apply a brightening serum like Kahina Brightening Serum to give your skin radiance. Follow with a nourishing moisturizer.

Once moisturizer has absorbed, apply an oil-free primer that will help camouflage pores and fine lines and make foundation last longer, like Benefit the POREfessional. Next, apply a brightening foundation like Sonia Kashuk Perfecting Luminous Foundation with either a foundation brush or your fingertips.

Start by applying foundation at the center of your face, where you need the most coverage. Then, blend outwards. If pores or streaks are still visible after application, lightly dampen a makeup sponge and blot (press) face.

Gently pat concealer under eyes with a fingertip or a concealer brush (never rub!) and also apply on upper eye area to act as a primer. Then, apply a bone or cream-colored matte powder eye shadow. Follow by applying a matte taupe eye shadow in a half-moon shape in the creases. Blend.

Next, use a black liquid eyeliner pen with a fine tip like MAC Penultimate Eye Liner to create a thin line hugging the upper lash line, flicking the pen upwards at the outer corners.

Then, use a black eyeliner pencil like Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow & Eye Liner to faintly line the lower lash line and blend.Complete the eye makeup with two to three coats of a volume-building and curling mascara like NYC New York Color Big Bold Curl Mascara. Tip: To catch any rogue clumps and separate lashes, go over lashes with a disposable mascara wand.

Get Kate's flirty flushed cheeks by lightly tapping a sheer pink cream or gel blush like Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee onto the apples of your cheeks. Blend with your fingertips, pulling color upwards along your cheekbones for added lift.

Forget Ms. Upton's boring nude lip and bring on the 5-alarm red for this look! Start by lining and filling in lips with a red lip liner pencil. Then, with a lip brush apply a long-lasting, highly pigmented glossy red lipstick like Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso.

Since the buxom beauty looked so radiant on the red carpet, we are going to let the whole nude lip snafu go this time. But for the rest of her movie press tour she'd better be rocking the full rainbow of statement lips. She should know better than to drink the nude lip Kool-Aid!
