It's like Margot Robbie became a major Lorde fangirl between the Golden Globes and the Oscars. Now she's forgotten her whole blonde bombshell thing in favor of the "Royal" singer's emo elegance.

We love the quirky Kiwi, and we love a dark and dramatic look, but the Wolf of Wall Street actress doesn't make a natural brunette or pout-faced red carpet walker.

Look how much better the slinky Gucci creation fits this Aussie beauty. It's not just the bright white color that shines. The column shape and low V neckline are the right kind of sexy for her shape. It's not that a strapless black gown can't be equally attractive, but this specific version is baggy and boring. The sequined top doesn't off-set the flat bottom enough, and the straight line across the chest is a total snooze fest.

We miss the Margot of Wolf of Wall Street fame. She knew how to look hot everywhere from the red carpet, to a baby girl's bedroom...
