Beyoncé must have watched herself on the Grammys and decided the blunt bob was just not cutting it.

The "Drunk in Love" singer made a surprise appearance at DirecTV's Super Saturday Night at Pier 40 this weekend in New York City to show off some fabulous new hair extensions.

If you regularly read Beauty Police, you know we usually shade extensions for looking scraggly and "mall bought." And although her hair obviously doesn't look real, somehow Queen B's lusciously long, artificial locks make us reconsider our position—she just knows how to rock the drama.

Speaking of drama, Mrs. Carter showed us where there's smoke there's fire with a brown and rose smoky eye and fire engine red lip.

Get the Look: To channel your inner Queen B, start by prepping your upper eye area with concealer or eye primer like e.l.f. Natural Mineral Eye Shadow Primer Sheer.  Then, with a flat eye brush, apply an ivory or flesh-colored eye shadow over entire upper eye area.

Then, with a small round eye brush, apply a thick line of matte chocolate brown eye shadow like NYX Nude Matte Eye Shadow in Betrayal along the upper lash line. To create the smoky effect, blend the shadow upwards in a back and forth motion towards your crease. This gives the shadow a gradient effect.

Next, with a small eye brush, apply a shimmery champagne rose eye shadow like NARS Shimmer Eye Shadow in Cairo to the creases in a back and forth motion. Then, with an eye blending brush, blend the shadows with small circles, softening the look.

To further define the eyes, apply brown gel eyeliner like Revlon Colorstay Crème Gel Eye Liner in Brown to both the upper and lower lash lines. Then, dip an eyeliner brush in the matte brown eye shadow and apply along the lower lash line, blending over the eyeliner.

To really make this look pop, apply a gold eye shadow like Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Cairo to the inner corners of the eyes. Finish the eyes by applying a long-wearing mascara that adds length and volume like MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Extravagant Mascara.

To copy Beyoncé's crimson pucker, start by exfoliating lips with either a sugar scrub or your toothbrush. DIY Tip: Add a little water to baking soda and use as a lip scrub. Once lips are clean, apply a balm and let set while doing your makeup.

Next, apply a neutral or lipstick-matching lip pencil to entire lip. Tip: By applying lip pencil to entire lip instead of just outlining the lip, you will ensure your lipstick lasts longer. Then, with a lip brush apply a creamy, highly pigmented cherry red lip like Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick in Pomegranate.

We have to say, seeing Beyoncé's new look was by far the most exciting part of Super Bowl weekend.  While we may not go running out to buy a set of extensions, the Queen has certainly inspired us to at least start rocking a fiery red lip. Baby steps.
