We love a red carpet rebel, but does Margot Robbie's black jumpsuit make her look too cool for proper style school?

The Aussie beauty ditched convention by opting for this formal Elie Saab one-piece versus a fancy dress for the 2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards. Design wise, the only difference is two leg holes versus one. The sleek black is just as classy and those lace long sleeves give it a gorgeous touch. Plus, it's 2014. Shouldn't pants finally be given equal rights under awards season law?

We're honestly on the fence. Yes, the blonde bombshell looks killer in this sexy cut, but with the loose hair and lack of bling, it feels like a fancy dinner date look, not a red carpet stunner. This is her major U.S. debut. Why not keep rocking jaw-droppers like that white Gucci column she rocked at the Golden Globes? Frankly, this feels like a waste of a photo moment, especially on a woman who could wear just about any dress around.

We say, "make it stop!" What's your take?
