Olivia Munn isn't fooling anyone… There's no way she actually took the time to blow out her hair before putting it in a top knot (not like she needed to, obviously). This photo was taken in Vegas after all… Judging by that golden tan, Ms. Munn probably spent a long day sipping margaritas at the pool, leaving her minimal time to primp before attending the Beacher's Madhouse Opening Weekend at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.

We love that The Newsroom star transformed her day old hair into a sleek doable night ‘do. Ms. Munn also always knows how to rock the subtle makeup look. This natural beauty knows that a fire engine red lip, bold brows and a bit of mascara is all she really needs to be red carpet ready.

Get the Look: To create Olivia's sleek top knot, start by brushing all your hair upward, ensuring that the back is smooth and bump-free. Create a very tight ponytail at the top of your head and secure hair with a small elastic that won't damage your hair.

Twist the ponytail tightly and wrap it around the elastic.  Secure with hairpins. Spray hair with an anti-humidity finishing spray like Oribe Imperméable Anti-Humidity Spray to prevent frizzing.

To get Ms. Munn's minimal makeup look, after applying primer and a sheer coverage bb cream or foundation like Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen, conceal any darkness under the eyes and redness with concealer. Next, apply 2-3 coats of defining mascara like No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara.

For bold yet natural looking eyebrows, use a brow pencil like Dior Diorshow Brow Styler Ultra-Fine Precision Brow Pencil to draw small lines in the same size, shape and direction of your natural eyebrow hair. Then, use a clear brow gel like Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel and brush eyebrow hair upwards to create shine and lasting hold.

To copy Olivia's statement lip, start by exfoliating your pucker with a sugar scrub or your toothbrush. Line lips with a flesh-colored lip pencil, or a pencil that exactly matches your lipstick shade. Then, apply a classic red lipstick like Marc Jacobs Beauty Lovemarc Lip Gel in 134 Showstopper with a lip brush. Blot with a tissue and then apply a second coat.

Don't think that this look is only for the casually chic "I refuse to spend any time on my hair" ladies. When you find yourself in disarray on New Year's Eve, 20 minutes before you're supposed to leave for a party, staring back in the mirror at a failed intricate ‘do, pull the top knot safety cord. (And this should go without saying… you should never attempt a new hairstyle on New Year's without a dress rehearsal!) Or, if you're really stubborn and insist on attempting to pull off a beach wave gone wrong, at least rely on the red lipstick and bold brows to hopefully detract your audience's attention.
