It's not hard to figure out why supermodels' makeup is always so perfect. Their faces are frequent canvases to the most talented makeup artists in the world. But, Jessica Stam wasn't coming from a runway show or photo shoot last night when she attended the G-Shock - Shock The World 2013 event in New York City. She simply threw on a casual tank and pants and flaunted sophisticated yet summer-centric makeup.

Instead of creating a dramatic wing with her black liquid liner (which would have been too formal for her outfit), Stam created a perfect retro line along her upper lash line.  To bring out the blue in her eyes, she used a mix of burgundy and copper eye shadows in her creases and to line under her eyes.

The former CoverGirl left her brows au natural, just giving them an upwards brushing for lift.  We are totally in love with the flirty pinkish red gloss on her pucker, showing off the perfect contrast to her flawless skin.

Get the Look: Start by priming your upper eye area with concealer or primer and then cover the entire area with a cream colored shadow like Linen from the Votre Vu Palette Play in Copper.

To create Jessica's precise line, you need to use a liquid black felt tip eyeliner that is easy to hold, dries quickly, and won't feather or crack like L'Oreal Lineur IntenseFelt Tip Liquid Eyeliner. Create a line that starts thin at your inner eye corner and gets thicker as you get closer to your outer corner.

Next, from the same Votre Vu Palette Play in Copper combine the copper and burgundy shadows (dip your brush into the burgundy, blot on the back of your hand, dip into the copper and blot again) and apply to the creases of your eyelids, adding more depth with the burgundy at the outer corners. Blend like crazy. Hint: If the shadow looks too dark, dip your blending brush in the linen and go over the dark areas in small circles.

To get the illusion of Jessica's perfect skin, apply a sheer skin highlighter like RMS Beauty Coconut Oil LivingLuminizer with Brush on your brow bones, in the inner corners of your eyes, along the top of your cheekbones, and at your cupid's bow.

Complete this look by applying a juicy red lip gloss with pink undertones like NARS Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Strawberry Pink.

We are definitely going to try this look this weekend, though something tells us we're going to need a bit more than the right eyeliner and lip gloss to look like a supermodel. Baby steps…
