Could Lucy Hale be any cuter? This photo just makes us want to hug her (and get our brows tinted and shaped). We love when young stars embrace their age and opt for simple, youthful makeup instead of caking on the face paint (usually, you can't throw a lipstick at a young Hollywood event without hitting an overly smoked eye or too-red lip).
The TV starlet/country music singer's peepers were defined in black kohl eyeliner and rimmed in peachy pink eye shadow to keep the look demure. With peaches and cream blush and rose-colored gloss, Lucy looked like a little doll!
But let's face it… those bold brows stole the show. Lucy, who received the Crossover of the Year award last night at the YHAs, kept her brows full yet sculpted and penciled in for emphasis. Lucy may only be 24 years old, but she knows to hide her tweezers since nothing ages a face faster than pencil thin eyebrows.
Get the Look: Since Lucy is the Mark Cosmetics Brand Ambassador, we're assuming she's wearing all Mark products. Start by covering your entire upper eye area with a matte neutral or cream-colored eye shadow like I-mark Wet/Dry Eye Shadow in Whisper.
Then, use a metallic pink or peach eyeshadow like I-mark Wet/Dry Metallic Eye Shadow in your creases. Be sure to emphasize the outer corners by applying a second layer in a V-shape from the outer edge of your crease to the outer corner of your eyes.
To give your eyes definition, use a black waterproof eyeliner pencil like No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jet Set to create a line along your upper lash line, making the line thicker as you get towards the outer corners. If your eyes aren't sensitive, use the eyeliner pencil to also line your water line. Finish by applying 2-3 coats of a non-clumping volume-building mascara like Scanda-Lash Go-To-Mascara in Blackest Black.
To get Lucy's statement brows, first hide the tweezers from yourself so you're not tempted to over pluck. Ever. Next, use an eyeliner pencil that matches your eyebrow hair color to lightly fill in your brows with small upward strokes. If you're a brunette like Lucy, you'll want to use a dark brown liner like No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Foxy Brown. Then, take a disposable mascara wand, spray with hairspray, and brush brows upwards to blend pencil and keep hairs in place.
You will want to complete this look with Lucy's sugar and spice cheeks and lips. First, apply a peachy blush like Just Blushing Powder Blush in Charmed to the apples of your cheeks, brushing upwards towards your temples for extra lift. Then, use a longwearing rose-colored lip gloss like Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain in Bare.
We only wish that by wearing this makeup look it would make us appear as young and innocent as Lucy. We're going to try out this look this weekend to see if we can bring a little sugar and spice… if only the makeup could provide the "everything nice." We guess that would require a time machine…
