We'll admit it: we were a little frightened by Zosia Mamet's tightly parted hair and über-pale skin and lipstick at last night's Glamour Women Of The Year Awards. We so wanted to love this look after seeing her perfectly drawn, thick-winged eyes, but we simply could not look beyond the ghostly skin and Frida Kahlo hair.

The Girls star has enviable ivory skin, sure, but when she's hitting a red carpet with flash photography she has to warm up her complexion with a little blush. We insist!

And speaking of fair skin, it's hard for someone with this light complexion to get away with that pale of a lipstick. Instead of accentuating her lips, the lip color makes Zosia's lips disappear.

On top of all that, Zosia's hair was styled so severely that it seemed completely out of place paired with the mod winged eye. We would have much rather seen Zosia with a modern pompadour, loose chignon or a side swept down ‘do.

Beauty Bailout: Don't get us wrong, we love Zosia's creamy skin! But she needs to add a rosy cheek to give her face some life with a peachy powder like NARS Blush in Sex Appeal, which will give her a perky peaches and cream complexion.

Since Zosia is wearing a black dress, black eyeliner and has dark hair, we would've loved to see her in a bold fuchsia lipstick like Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipcolor in Fuchsia Flash.

Now, if the idea of bright lipstick terrifies Zosia, we would suggest she try a rosy pink lipstick like Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick in Quinta, which is more subtle, yet still adds a pop of color.

Finally, we don't understand why she's hiding her beautiful locks behind that slick parted bun! We would beg you to let your hair down, Z! We think a high chignon would have looked chic with this look and upped the retro factor of your winged eyes.

We hope Zosia heeds our advice so she doesn't end up scaring the children with her Halloween-ready look. And she shouldn't forget that even though Girls isn't the most family-friendly show, it's certainly not a horror show!
