Let's face it, it's not difficult for Heidi Klum to look gorgeous. In fact, we hate her a little each time we see her flawless makeup-free face all over the paparazzi mags. But this mermaid-inspired makeup move was a risk even for the top model. And as you can see, it was well worth it!

Heidi made all the runway right moves with this dramatic eye by toning down the lip, subtly bronzing her face without going Oompa-Loompa overboard and keeping the hair and the earrings simple.

We also love that Ms. Klum let her brows go au natural, but still sculpted and shaped them with a touch of brow pencil or powder. Ladies, if you want to stay looking young, step away from the waxing table and hide those tweezers! Few things will age your face more than pencil-thin eyebrows.

Get the Look: Those oceans of blue smoked eyes are easier to achieve than you would think! First, prep the eye area with primer and/or concealer to help the makeup stay on longer and show its true pigment.

Next, apply a silvery blue shadow like Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Ice all over the lid up to the crease, as well as from the inner eye area up to the inner eyebrow (use Heidi's photo as a guide). Apply a deep or bright shade of blue like Make Up For Ever Eyeshadow in Iridescent True Blue in the crease and in a small V-shape from the crease to the outer corner of your eye and then blend like crazy!

Now, apply silvery blue shadow with a smudge brush like Sephora Collection Pro Smudge Brush #11 along the entire lower lash line from inner corner to outer corner. After, apply the blue with a liner brush on the outer third of the lower lash line. Blend with the smudge brush by sweeping it back and forth in small motions

Finally, use a bright teal eyeliner pencil like Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bright Iridescent Teal to line along the upper lash line and along the lower water line. Voila! Ocean eyes!

Complete your look with a creamy nude lipstick like NARS Lipstick in Honolulu Honey.

And don't forget to keep those brows nice and natural. If you feel you need a little definition, try a brow pencil that mimics the actual shape of your eyebrow hair like Sania's Angled Mechanical Brow Pencil, which also includes a brush to blend the pencil.

While we can't all have Heidi's supermodel looks, at least we can try and mimic her seaside makeup. But don't forget the cardinal rule: If you try this eye look at home, do not pair it with a statement lip or you are certain to get a visit from the Beauty Police.
