The only thing hotter than KimYe right now is Kanye West's new signature shoe, the highly anticipated Nike Air Yeezy 2. The shoes, which aren't available to the general public until Saturday, sold on eBay to the highest bidder for $90,300 on Wednesday (they retail for $300). Other auctions on the online site sold them for no more than $6,000.
The sneaker, which has been worn by celebrities LeBron James and Jay-Z, will come in platinum and black/pink. Sneakerheads have been in line for days trying to get their feet inside these hot kicks. But don't expect to see just anyone rocking the Yeezy 2s. It seems that Nike plans to release between 3,000 and 5,000 pairs of the coveted sneakers, compared to 3 million for one of its mainstream styles. I tried hitting up my favorite Las Vegas shoe store, CRSVR, to get a pair but look at the line………….. good luck!
Already established as a notable entertainment personality, Liz Hernandez joined E! News as a correspondent and as a host of E! News Now in 2011.
Prior to coming to E!, Liz served as the longtime radio cohost of the #1 rated and nationally syndicated morning show, Big Boy's Neighborhood, on Los Angeles' influential Power 106 FM. It was there that she was called "The Queen of Entertainment News" for her daily "This Just Handed To Me" segment, in which she covered everything from award shows and red carpet events to one-on-one interviews with Hollywood's biggest stars, including Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez, Mel Gibson, Jay-Z and just about anyone else you can think of.
The youngest of four girls, Liz was born and raised in Southern California, attended University of San Diego, and eventually got her start in the radio business after landing an internship with a local radio station. After receiving a B.A. in both Communications and Psychology, and having realized her natural talent for radio broadcasting, Liz's career path into entertainment soon became imminent.
While providing the celebrity gossip for LA's Power 106 FM, it was Liz's quick-witted charm and genuine spirit that made her so appealing to listeners, and soon had MTV taking notice. In 2007, she also began working as a correspondent for MTV News, which only further solidified her passion for entertainment reporting.
Liz has appeared as herself in numerous television shows, including HBO's Entourage. She also cohosted California's Make Me a Millionaire in 2009 and was part of a national Coors Light campaign in 2010.
When she's not working, Liz likes to spend her time listening to music, reading or painting. And she cherishes time spent with her family and friends.
