My Olympic Sized Summer

More from e_news

With LA's 100 degree weather, it's difficult to decipher when summer ends and when fall begins but traffic is horrific, which means kids are back in school and fall is right around the corner.  So that got me thinking about the silly fun summer I had!  Reminisce with me on my top 5 best 2012 summer shoots!

Evenings With My New Friend George Clooney

All right. Let it be known that I recognize that the title of my blog is a bit deceiving. I have hardly spent evenings (plural) with George Clooney; it was more like brief moments (albeit two of them).

¡Rob!: Pitch or Ditch?

E! Networks
More from e_news

Here at E!, we often pitch story ideas which we think will resonate with our audience and that they will enjoy.  I usually pitch when it's something I really believe can make a statement or just be really fun. Yoga with a pint-size movie star or an interview with an international superstar which you wouldn't know by name but should—like Damien Bichir, star of A Better Life.

Have I mentioned I'm Mexican? It's not something I usually start with—"Hi. I'm Kristina. I'm Mexican"—but I think my olive skin, dark feature and love of guacamole and mariachi music gives me away. I am a proud third-generation Mexican American that works in a business that sometimes forgets about us.

Getting Down N' Dirty for a Good Cause

More from e_news

Celebrity and charity often go hand in hand.  You almost will never meet a celebrity who doesn't support a worthy cause, usually something close to their heart.  They attend fundraising galas, contribute a pair of signed tennis shoes for a silent auction, participate in telethons, travel far and wide to bring attention to crisis all around the world, and sometimes they like to get their hands dirty—that's what I like to do!

It's been a while since I've been so excited by a movie that I'm recommending it to everyone (well, maybe not recommending it to my mom). Will it be Oscar nominated? Probably not. Will it go down in movie history?  Ummmm…no.  But is it worth your 15 bucks opening weekend?  Absolutely!

Bio

Kristina Guerrero is a self-proclaimed small-town girl with big-city dreams. Born and raised in Sunnyside, Wash., Kristina always had her sights set on the Hollywood dream. And at age 18, she set out to pursue it. With only a few pennies in her pocket and a lifetime of ambition in her heart, she packed up and moved to Los Angeles.

The dreams of bright lights, movie stars and superstardom were quickly replaced with the reality of no money, no home and nowhere to go. Not discouraged, she enrolled at the University of Southern California (go Trojans!). While in college, she landed an internship at L.A.'s Fox KTTV and climbed the ladder from "coffee girl" to field producer.

After graduating USC with a BA in Journalism, she landed her first big gig as cohost of The Rub, a relationship talk show, on SiTV network. That break led to an opportunity as a guest correspondent for Access Hollywood, where she interviewed stars like Jim Carrey and Kirk Douglas.

In January 2005, Kristina moved to San Antonio, Texas, to host her own CBS morning talk show, Great Day S.A., for which she received a local Emmy nomination. In addition, she was also a guest cohost on the Adam Corolla radio show and the spokeswoman for Latina magazine's 10th anniversary campaign.

The lure of L.A. was strong, however, and she returned in January of 2008. Most recently, Kristina was on the red carpet at the Grammys and on the sidelines at the Super Bowl as the entertainment correspondent for Inside Edition.

When she's not diligently bringing you your entertainment fix on E! News Now, Kristina enjoys watching intellectual films (The Goonies), reading life-changing literature (Cosmo) and appreciating fine dining (she'll eat almost anything).
