You really can feel it in the air. I know I know, it sounds cliché, but the week leading up to a big awards show just feels different. Everyone is the newsroom is scrambling to make sure they've watched all the movie.
Not a day goes by when I don't get a tweet asking "vcak50: @GiulianaRancic do you and @jasonkennedy1 have some sort of game to see who says the last word at the end of enews?"
Yes, Vcak50 we do and by the way, I won that day! Nobody really knows why, but one things for sure, the goodbye game has become a staple when Giuliana and I anchor E! News.
In 2005, Jason Kennedy joined E! as a news correspondent, handling a variety of stories and events for E! News.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, Kennedy became a permanent fixture in his neighborhood, spending most of his time chasing news trucks and taking cabs to news scenes to mock-report on the local news. His love for hosting began in the fifth grade, after he constructed a studio in his basement, equipped with 20 televisions, four cameras, a news desk and an editing station. Unlike most anchors, Kennedy began his first on-air experience at the age of 15.
While attending the University of Miami, Kennedy received numerous awards, including the coveted Associated Press Award for Best News Feature in the state of Florida.
Kennedy finally made the big move to Los Angeles in 2004, when he anchored segments for Open Call on the TV Guide Channel. His experience and talent has led him to report on everything from President Clinton's visit to Miami to Paris Hilton's visit to a Beverly Hills spa.
