The McLaren

I love cars.  I have loved them since I was a little girl; the faster, the better. And last night I had a love affair with a really hot one. 

Wilshire Boulevard is now the home to one of only 7 McLaren dealerships in the country, and I was lucky enough to be at the opening. The store was brought to Beverly Hills by The Auto Gallery, who also have Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and my personal favorite, Porsche.  So needless to say, these guys know their cars.

The McLaren is one of the few cars I had never seen in person. The first thing I noticed on the MP4-12C were the long, soft lines of her body giving the car a beautiful, feminine look. But she is no pushover, this baby packs a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that kicks out 592 bhp…swoon. 

Now, I just need to talk them into letting me drive it.

In 2006, she moved to Los Angeles as the editor at large for Life & Style magazine and has since appeared on The O'Reilly Factor, the Today show, The CBS Early Show, CNN, TV Guide and The Insider as a pop-culture and gossip guru.

Ashlan has become a permanent fixture on the red carpet, covering the Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes and Grammys. She has interviewed such Hollywood luminaries as Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Robert Downey Jr. and many more.

When she's not obsessing over celebrity culture, Ashlan loves fashion, sweet tea and stilettos.
