I know the Academy Awards are all about the art, and love, of movie making. But I have to say, my favorite part is the DRESSES!!!!!
Oscar Sunday is like my New Year's Eve/July 4th all rolled into one. I'm like a little school girl who can't hold her excitement when someone steps onto red carpet for the first time that night and their glamorous dress is revealed.
It's more rare at the Oscars to have a fashion flop. Most actresses save their best gown of the award season for the Academy, so it truly is a red carpet full of the fashion's crème de la crème. I'm always excited to see Reese Witherspoon, and judging by her sexier look at the Golden Globes I think she is going to try and wow us again.
Rooney Mara has been wearing funky dresses so far this award season and every time we see her on a carpet, so I suspect she will step out in something over the top…hopefully Alexander McQueen-ish.
Jessica Chastain has been making great choices, so I expect her to rock it out again on the red carpet.
And of course Angelina Jolie…I just hope she goes big and not the same column design that she usually gravitates toward.

When she's not obsessing over celebrity culture, Ashlan loves fashion, sweet tea and stilettos.
