WEEKNIGHTS 7:00 & 11:30
Since starting with E! News, I have had many memorable interviews: joking with Sasha Baron Cohen who was in character as The Dictator, bonding with Cameron Diaz on the red carpet, and getting an exclusive from the legendary Martin Short.
Still, one of the biggest highlights was getting to interview my idol, iconic designer Diane Von Furstenberg. I've interviewed her in the past, but this time was a totally different experience. I was lucky enough to hang with Mrs. Von Furstenberg in her amazing office, which is like nothing I have ever seen. It is bigger than most New York City apartments, and is pure DVF: colorful, interesting and beautiful.
After talking with her about the 50th anniversary of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (she is the president), Mrs. Von Furstenberg and I spoke about life. I told her how long I have admired her work and that at least one third of my wardrobe is DVF (no joke). She later gifted me her first book and signed it. It is not often you get to spend time with your idol, but thanks to this job, I did. Mrs. Von Furstenberg did not disappoint.
Alicia Quarles joins E! from the Associated Press where she was the Global Entertainment and Lifestyles Editor, anchoring live coverage of the Oscars and Grammys. Quarles has traveled the globe for sit-down interviews with some of pop culture's most fascinating names. She was also instrumental in covering President Obama's inauguration, the confirmation hearings of Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor and the death of Michael Jackson. Based out of New York, Quarles will continue to solidify E!'s presence on both coasts.
