The Bachelor's Juan Pablo Galavis on Castoff Controversy: "It's the Girls' Problem—I Was Myself!"

"If they didn't portray themselves as they have to portray themselves, that's not our problem," the hunky Venezuelan said when he stopped by E! News Wednesday

Juan Pablo Galavis is nothing if not comfortable in his own skin—and we're going to bet right here that he spent his season of The Bachelor looking for the same quality in a woman.

So, when asked about the complaints leveled at the show's producers by first-episode castoffs Kylie Lewis and Lauren Higginson, that the show set them up to look ridiculous, Juan Pablo didn't seem too concerned.

"It's been one episode, so I saw the same that you see—the special, the casting part, whenever they get out of the limo," he told E! News' Catt Sadler and Ali Fedotowsky (who knows a thing or two about the process) when he stopped by our studio Wednesday.

"So if they didn't portray themselves as they have to portray themselves, that's not our problem. It's [the girls'] problem, you know. I was myself."

"I was myself," Juan Pablo reiterated. "I did whatever I wanted to do when I was on the other show [The Bachelorette, with Desiree Hartsock]. I didn't do whatever I didn't want to do on the other show, and that was it. So I wouldn't complain at all."

There's been no public complaints (yet?) from the seven other women who didn't get a rose on Monday's premiere, leaving 18 ladies for Juan Pablo to get to know better.

So what could he tell Catt and Ali about what to expect this season?

"It's going to be different," he promised.

Wait, that's it?!

Catt and Ali did pump him for info during a rapid-fire Q&A session as well—watch the clip to find out whether it's boxers or briefs, if he really sneaks naked and whether he's kissed anybody in the last week! (Spoiler alert: He has!)

Watch Juan Pablo on E! News tonight at 7 p.m. & 11:30 p.m.
