Shauna saved money by having surgery in Tijuana, but now she's paying the ultimate price.
On Tuesday's episode of Botched, doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif meet with patient Shauna who had two botched nose jobs in Tijuana.
"He charged me $2,500 for the rhinoplasty," Shauna tells the doctors in the clip above.
"Wow! That is cheap," Dr. Dubrow tells Shauna.
When Shauna woke up from her first surgery, the tip of her nose was purple.
"That means decreased blood supply to the skin," Dr. Nassif explains. "If that happens you basically can lose the entire tip of the nose, it can just fall off. Shauna's very lucky that that didn't happen."
During the surgery, Shauna's previous doctor had left a piece of "sharp" cartilage on the tip of her nose. So four months later Shauna went back to the same doctor to have a second surgery, something that Dr. Nassif calls a "mistake" because you don't "go back in the tip for about a year."
Immediately after the second surgery, Shauna's nose started "dripping" and that rhinorrhea continues to this day.
