Gam On: Angelina Jolie's Oscar-Bared Leg Launches Own Twitter Account

Brad Pitt's better half spawns own social media feed after striking a memorable stance during the ceremony—but has it trumped J.Lo's wardrobe malfunction-inspired account?

Leave it to Angelina Jolie to go out on a limb. And a rather shapely one at that.

The actress has never been one to lack attention, and that was never more apparent than during last night's Oscars, when the distracting and ostentatiously bared gams of Brad Pitt's better half threatened to overshadow the entire telecast.

And when you take into account that the night included a maybe wardrobe malfunction from Jennifer Lopez, blackface from Billy Crystal and an "ash"-dumping on our own Ryan Seacrest, that's some feet feat.

Of course, it wasn't long before Jolie's leg branched out into other mediums, resulting in the launch of an inevitable Twitter feed, the rather aptly named Angelina Jolie's Leg.

Yes, it was just mere moments into the wake of Jolie's leggy Academy Award appearance, in which she struck an ever so slightly preposterous stance while handing out the Best Adapted Screenplay honors, that the inspired Twitter feed—which now boasts 12,000 followers and counting—was launched.

"Look at me!" it proclaimed. "I'm right here! Look at meeee!! Don't forget about me!"

No chance of that happening, particularly as the winners of the screenplay award wasted no time in parodying Angie's unusual pose.

As The Descendants' Alexander Payne spoke, cowriters Jim Rash and Nat Faxon mirrored Jolie's come-hither stance, but once backstage said that their tribute was a "loving" one.

"I just saw her pose and I thought, you know what, we have exactly the same legs," Rash said. "And I wanted to show everyone what it meant. It was a loving tribute."

Just like the Twitter feed, which continued on through the night, with the tweets all proving to be some small variation on the theme.

"Leg here! Behold: it's me!! Check out this leg over here!

"Still here. Great view, but thank god for the slit in this dress...You gotta admit, I'm one hell of a leg."

Of course, Angelina's leg may have been redundant, but it was nothing if not courteous. Its final tweet (at least until the next awards season or red carpet outing) read out: "Great meeting most of you for the first time last night at the Oscars."

Still, Angie's gam wasn't the only body part that attracted online attention. Perhaps even more inevitable than @AngelinaJoliesLeg was @JLosNipple and @RyansTux.

"DID YOU SEE ME?" asked the inaugural tweet. "CBS was getting too much publicity for Janet's nipple slip...ABC put me up to this."

Of course, this anatomical anomaly was slightly more competitive than Angelina's leg, and even tweeted out some fighting words for the other big headline-grabber of the night.

"Step back Seacrest...this is my time." Well, not quite. With just over 2,000 followers to Angie's 12,000, that honor seems to go to Jolie.

Popping up a little late in the game today was @RyansTux, which started off with, "Who wants pancakes?" in reference to Seacrest's guess that Sacha Baron Cohen threw Bisquick on him last night.
