2013 Grammy Awards Get a Date

The folks behind music's most prestigious honor have locked in a day for next year's bash as well as the nominations concert

Mark your calendars, music lovers.

Because Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, is the day the Recording Academy has announced the 55th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles' Staples Center on CBS.

The folks behind music's biggest night also revealed that nominations will be revealed at the Grammy Nominations Concert which will be broadcast on the Eye network on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, and feature performances from past Grammy winners and nominees.

Eligibility for this year's ceremony began on Oct. 1, 2011, and runs through Sept. 30, 2012. No word whether LL Cool J will host again.

Last year's Grammy Awards drew a whopping 39.9 million viewers, the kudosfest's largest audience since 1984 and second biggest ever. More people, in fact, tuned in to the Grammys than any other awards show this year, including the Oscars.
