Holy nest full of crazies! This season of The Bachelor is—dare we say it?—more entertaining than ever, thanks to the, er, INTERESTING personalities (some multiple) that make up the batch of ladies on Chris Soules' season. But do any of them stand a chance of becoming the next Bachelorette? Yes indeedy do! I've talked to reliable sources connected to the show, and have broken down the official ranking of each girl's chances. Producers haven't made any final decision yet—so make your voice heard in the comments' section if you really feel strongly about one of 'em!
Hello, people, this is just what The Bachelorette franchise needs: A Comedy/Horror Season! Maybe Ryan Murphy could come in to direct? Seriously, just think about how incredibly amusing Ashley S. would be as ABC's first Bats--t Crazy Bachelorette. (Also a solid show name!) We could watch her make creepy-scary eyes with dudes at a campground All. Dang. Day. We're all for this option, but an insider connected to the show simply says: "Uh, no. I don't think so." Bubble burst.
"My cheeks hurt from all the fake smiling" is not the makings of the next Bachelorette. "She's too cynical and therefore too much of a risk that the season would be a bust," says an insider of the high school guidance counselor, who was accused of faking a panic attack to avoid elimination.
Think producers pulled an Ali Fedotwosky by having Jordan make a surprise return in the Santa Fe episode, paving the way for her to claim her Bachelorette throne? Wrong-o! Sources say Jordan is not a frontrunner for the next Bachelorette.
"She's very sweet, she's great but I don't think she is a good fit" says a source. Somewhere, Ashley is deep in the throes of some serious bitch-gloating.
The Virginator just isn't likeable enough, with all her pouting and raging jealousy issues. She's "definitely not a top five contender," says a source.
"She's a cool girl, but probably not memorable enough," an insider says of the 27-year-old pageant alum/fashion designer. We were going to say something about that, but already forgot...
At only 23, she's a bit too young and didn't really pop during her time on The Bachelor...except for that time she thought New Mexico was a country, not a state. I'm guessing she'd love to be the next Bachelorette though, and clearly has TV aspirations—she has appeared as an extra on ABC's Nashville!
Chris Soules himself has teased that he had an "instant connection" with Becca and she "isn't going away any time soon"—which is why we can be 100 percent convinced she won't be his number one. (We aren't that easy, ABC!) Becca is a pretty solid choice for Bachelorettedom, but so far hasn't really resonated enough with viewers. She would be the first (we assume) virgin Bachelorette, though!
"Probably too shy," I'm told. But maybe that Cinderalla-inspired movie promo date helped her come out of her shell?
"Juelia is a viable option--she would pull at the heartstrings," says one insider about Juelia's prospects. The widowed mother (whose husband committed suicide in 2013) had an emotional goodbye with Chris, leaving her as one of the more memorable women of this season, despite her fairly early exit.
"She's the life of the party, which could be fun," says one source of the brunette, who is currently still in the competition.
All that stuff about not feeling worthy of love? Pure. Bachelorette. Gold! I mean, could you root for her any more?? Plus, she's a natural entertainer, well-spoken on camera, funny and likeable. I'm told by sources she's a "very strong contender."
"She's probably in the top three," says one insider.
"She woud make a great Bachelorette—we'll see!" This is what Chris himself told me after the premiere, when Britt got the first impression rose. She continued to be a frontrunner all season, before her jealousy and concerns about his small hometown gave Prince Farming major causes for concern.
But mix together a dramatic and memorable exit from the Top 5 and a solid show of support from fans of the show, and Britt is looking like a solid contender to be handing out roses next season.
Surprise! Yes, Andi Dorfman—who just made her breakup with Josh official—is actually a top five contender for casting of the next Bachelorette, according to sources. "The crew and everyone loved her," says a source. "It would be kind of cool to have her back." And Andi definitely won even more support after her heartbreaking and tear-filled sitdown with Chris Harrison during the Chris Tells All special.
Of course, the question is whether she would do it. What do you think? Woud you want to see Andi give it another go? Or do you prefer Britt? Carly? None of the above? Hit the comments below!
