We know you're expecting us to hate on Brit Brit's unnaturally platinum locks, but somehow the bright blond works for her. The hair could have gone very wrong very quickly if she wore over-the-top makeup. But with a subtle eye and a nude lip, the People's Choice Awards winner for Favorite Pop Artist pulls it off.
Okay, we hate to be rude here but we have to be honest... The first thing we thought of when we saw this photo was "aging porn star." There, we said it. The hair looks straight out of a bottle, the white shimmery eye makeup is unflattering and the nude gloss just looks cheap. And what's up with those brows?? They are way too dark and skinny for her face.
The Girls star must have seen a photo of Julia Roberts at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and decided to copy the hairstyle. We thought the hair could have a bit more texture (like Julia's) to pull off this edgy ‘do. As usual, Ms. Williams's makeup looked "pretty," but we're sick of her playing it safe. The dress is futuristic; she should have worn a metallic smoky eye or at least brightly colored eyeliner!
We knew we could rely on JHud to get it right. We beyond loved the bronzy eye shadow, coupled with the sleek black winged eye and matte pink lip. And ladies, take notes… that's how you do an eyebrow! The songstress definitely had one of our favorite looks of the night.
We really expect more from the Gravity star. This look was boring with a capital B. She desperately needed a pop of color – either a statement lip or bright eyeliner – to bump up the "wow" factor. We sincerely hope that Sandra was just getting warmed up and intends to bring the drama for the rest of the award season.
We love you, Drew! The actress and makeup maven flaunted her flawless skin and let her statement lip do its duty. Her matte orange lipstick, Flower Kiss Stick in Get to the Poinsettia from the actress's own Flower makeup line, was the perfect compliment to her black-lined eyes and peachy cheeks.
…And the queen reigns supreme. Our eyes immediately went to that glossy berry lip. Tip: To copy Queen Latifah's deep berry lipstick, try Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Shame. Her sleek blond bob perfectly complemented her face shape and skin tone. We could have done without the tarantula-leg lashes, but since she kept the rest of her eye makeup minimal we'll let it go.
We wish we had a different story to tell but it's always the same with Naya – drag queen city. She way over-contoured her cheeks, her eyebrows look like she shaved them and recreated them with the wrong shade of powder, and the thick clumpy lashes just aren't cute. It's a shame that such a pretty woman feels she needs to shellac on so much makeup.
Wow, The Big Bang Theory star should really get her money back for those scraggly hair extensions. Luckily, the People's Choice Awards winner for Favorite Comedic TV Actress wore sultry midnight blue eye makeup and perfectly highlighted skin to distract us from the mall-bought hair.
It's practically impossible for the Vampire Diaries starlet to look bad. In fact, we're yet to see her look just okay. Last night was no exception. We loved her metallic eye makeup matched with the fun knotted faux hawk, created by celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri. The faux hawk was made up of about 100 knots, with a little bit of texture from KMS California HAIRPLAY Sea Salt Spray.
We were quick to declare the People's Choice Awards co-host one of our favorite looks when she first hit the red carpet. We loved her textured updo matched with the black-lined eyes and bubble gum pink lip. Then, all of a sudden a strange wall of bangs appeared on the 2 Broke Girls starlet, leading us to believe that either she was hit in the head back stage or perhaps a huge pimple suddenly erupted.
We wish we had something nice to say, because we love our Buffy, but this is just really, really bad makeup. The eyeliner makes her eyes look like they droop downwards. The frosty eye shadow brings attention to every fine line around her eyes, especially underneath her eyes. And let's face it… the frosty pink lipstick is amateur hour. With the conservative updo, the entire look is very Mother of the Bride.
Meow. The People's Choice Awards co-host was all sex kitten with her black winged eyeliner, raspberry lip, and loose sultry curls. The strategically placed jeweled headband made this look one of our favorites. One gripe: what happened to her cupid's bow? Instead of following the natural shape of her upper lip, she drew over the cupid's bow, making her lips look more like wax lips.
We never thought this would come out of our mouths, but we didn't love Heidi Klum's makeup. The bland eye makeup didn't do the Project Runway host's green eyes justice. And, we were disappointed to see that Heidi, usually a risk-taker, followed the nude lip pack. We did love her corkscrew ponytail from the back, but from the front it looked like it was pulled so tight she couldn't blink.
