The actress swears Clooney really is a great guy. "I know it's shocking in this day and age that there's no scandal," she once told People magazine. "He's just nice and he works very, very hard."
Ever since they starred together in Ocean's Eleven, the two actors have made it a goal to support each other's projects, especially during awards season.
The talented duo has been friends for years, dating back to their work in 1997's The Peacemaker. When Kidman announced her pregnancy in 2008, the actor said, "I'm thrilled for her. [She'll be] a perfect mother."
The handsome friends were first introduced by designer Giorgio Armani at 2008's Met Ball Gala. Today, Clooney graciously allows Beckham and the family to stay in his Lake Como home whenever it's available.
Their chemistry and deep friendship is undeniable. So, why don't the famous friends date? "She was dating one of my best friends," he recently told E! News. "There's a certain bro code, you know what I mean?"
The actress couldn't pass up on the opportunity to honor her friend at the BAFTA Britannia Awards. "He's handsome, he's talented, he is an exemplary humanitarian and a gifted prankster," she gushed.
With Clooney single and ready to mingle, could the former Desperate Housewives star be the perfect girlfriend? "As interesting as the George Clooney rumors are, they aren't true. George and I have been friends for years," she clarified to E! News.
Although there were rumors of a strife in this friendship years ago, both stars claim they have nothing but love and respect for one another.
The couple is more than just friends with Clooney. They're neighbors! The Hollywood stars have vacations homes next door to each other in Los Cabos, Mexico.
When the actor was crowned Entertainment Weekly's 2012 Entertainer of the Year, close friend George Clooney couldn't agree more. "I knew he was a good writer, a good-looking kid, and a good actor," he gushed. "He's an unbelievable comeback kid."
They work on movies together, go to each other's birthday parties and look pretty darn good in a uniform.
"George and I have always been friends and we always will be friends," the Supermarket Superstar host told E! News shortly after their split.
Just because they're both directors doesn't mean they can't be friends. "George is the best kind of humanitarian," Spielberg said. "He is a humble humanitarian."
Clooney's former ER costar would love to work with her friend again. When asked about a reunion, she told E! News, "If George Is in It, I'm game!"
