Spock Beams Down for David Letterman

It's perfectly logical to us: The O.G. Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy, beamed onto Late Show With David Letterman last night in an attempt to wring out every last bit of pre-opening weekend hype for J.J. Abrams' hotly anticipated Star Trek.

After some genuine Letterman confusion over whether the erstwhile Vulcan was there to pimp Star Wars or Star Trek, Nimoy took to the stage to deliver the Top Ten List of  Lines Never Before Said in a Star Trek Film.

Among the choicer one-liners: "My baby-daddy is a Vulcan—on the next Maury," which came in strong at No. 4, and "Set phasers to fabulous!," a more than capable No. 8. As for the No. 1 line…

Well, let's just say Dave got as good as he gave.
