Is Zac Efron getting a little "knocked up"?
I hear that Leslie Mann—who stole pretty much every scene she was in as Katherine Heigl's sister and Paul Rudd’s wife in Knocked Up—has signed on for Seventeen, Efron’s big movie follow-up to Hairspray.
The New Line comedy revolves around a 36-year-old man who wakes up one day in the body of a popular high school senior, played by Efron. Think Tom Hanks’ Big in reverse.
I hear Efron’s character is named Mike O’Donnell. Mann plays Scarlett, the older Mike’s wife. Older Mike has not been cast yet.
Shooting, I’m told, begins Dec. 3 in Los Angeles. The flick is directed by Burr Steers and coproduced by Efron’s Hairspray director, Adam Shankman, and Shankman’s sister, Jennifer Gibgot.
