Wynonna Denies Sexual Harrassment
The country star issued a statement today "categorically" denying all the charges made by Andria Surles in a lawsuit filed last week, accusing Wynonna and her husband, Arch Kelley, of sexual harassment when Surles worked on their farm south of Nashville. They fired Surles in May. Wynonna said her lawyers are preparing a countersuit.
Surles also claimed that Kelley described himself to her as "being physically well-endowed" and that he tried to run a measuring tape along the allegedly cute butt.
As a legal bonus, Surles accused the couple of discrimination for not paying her as much as a man who previously ran the farm.
Wynonna, 32, performed with her mother Naomi as the Judds until 1991, when Naomi was sidelined by hepatitis. Wynonna went on to a hot career as a single-named soloist with such hits as "Tell Me Why" and "No One Else on Earth."
