Britney Spears and Joe Jonas are going to be spending a lot of time together this fall when he opens for the pop princess during the European leg of her Femme Fatale tour.

Perhaps going into the studio together could be next?

Jonas sure hopes so. He exclusively tells me...

He'd love to record with Ms. Spears. "I would be honored," Jonas told me last night before going on stage at the House of Blues for the mtvU VMA concert benefiting Lifebeat (brother Nick Jonas was in the audience to support). "If the song was right, if the idea was right? Definitely!"

"It's been a thought before," the "See No More" singer continued. "It would be so cool. I think our music would work well together with what I've doing and what she's been doing for so long."

But for now, he's got touring and his debut solo album Fast Life (dropping Oct. 11) to think about. He'll soon kick off a 19-city tour with Jay Sean before jumping overseas with Brit.

"I love touring," Jonas said. "I'm looking forward to getting on the road again. It's such a fun process. I love it. You get into a routine: New city, workout, hang out with friends, sound check, chill a little bit and then do a show and get back on the bus."
