After Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle made an affectionate red carpet appearance together this Fashion Week, rumors started flying—again—that the duo had finally gotten together.
Not that we haven't heard that before about the Gossip Girl costars, who play parents Rufus and Lily on the show, especially since both have split from their partners in real life. And they did appear to be getting pretty touchy-feely at a QVC party on Saturday in New York.
So what did Kelly have to say about the persistent love affair rumors?
The actress, seated front row today at the Nanette Lepore show in one of the designer's cherry red lace dresses, admits that she and Settle are extremely close offscreen, but that that's also exactly why they can't date.
"No we love each other way to much to date," she said to us, laughing. She was at the runway show to support her designer friend.
"I just love Nanette, I think she's an amazing woman, she's really an artist. She creates these wonderful designs and they're always unique and they fit beautifully," she said.
Sitting nearby was Stanley Tucci and Sopranos actress Aida Turturro, who gushed about being at the show.
"How excited am I to be at Nanette Lepore's fashion show? It's the most wonderful, sexy, feminine clothes in the world," she said. "I'm not a big fashion hopper, but I always make sure I get to Nanette. I feel special to be invited."
Aida also told us she's off to Italy this week, where she filmed a movie in Italian called Mozzarella Stories about the production of the yummy cheese...and the Mafia.
"I play this singer, I'm excited to go hang out with handsome Italian men and eat Italian food," she said.
