Why Is Lorenzo Lamas Changing His Name?

Lorenzo Craig doesn't sound as sexy—but tell that to his lady love.

Now that Lorenzo Lamas is a married man again, the former Falcon Crest hunk-turned-E! reality star is bucking tradition and announcing he's taking the surname of his new bride, Shawna Craig, his manager, Don Gibble, tells E! News.

So what's his official new moniker?

"He's going to legally change his name to Lorenzo Lamas-Craig," Gibble says. "He's always thinking outside the box so he decided to become the first celeebrity to take his wife's last name."

Aside from love, there's a more practical reason for the switcheroo. His last wife, former Playboy Playmate Shauna Sands, kept the Lamas name and is legally Shauna Lamas.

"His new wife didn't want to be called Shawna Lamas for obvious reasons," explains Gibble.

It's also his fifth marriage, and given his track record of divorces, his manager said the beefcake was looking for a fresh start.

The 52-year-old Lamas (er, Lama-Craig) tied the knot Sunday with his 24-year-old squeeze at the Casa Dorada Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, two months after popping the question and just five months after their first date.

The bride is actually younger than Lorenzo's oldest daughter, Shayne, but at this point, who's counting?
